Who you are buying from

Watch by Juls is a New York City dealer in new, vintage and antique timepieces and fine jewellery, trading from 36 West 47th Street, W8-9, Manhattan. These terms apply to every sale, whether made through this website, by telephone or in person.

Authenticity

Every timepiece is authenticated and inspected in-house before listing. We verify movement, case, dial, hands and bracelet against factory references.

The photographs on a product page are of that exact piece. They are not stock images, and we do not retouch them to hide wear. What you see is what will arrive.

• We are an independent dealer and are not an authorised agent of, or affiliated with, any manufacturer named on this site.
• Brand names and model references are used solely to describe the pieces we offer.

Condition and description

Pre-owned watches are described honestly, including their faults. A piece listed as pre-owned or vintage will show wear consistent with its age, and we would rather tell you about it than have you discover it.

Where a piece has been serviced, polished, or had parts replaced, we say so. If provenance is incomplete — papers missing, service history unknown — that is stated rather than glossed over.

Warranty

Pieces are supplied with a 24-month warranty covering mechanical functionality under normal use, beginning on the date of delivery.

• The warranty excludes wear to straps, crystals and external finish.
• It excludes water damage, impact damage, and magnetisation.
• It is void if the piece has been opened, serviced or altered by a third party. [REVIEW]

• This warranty is ours and is separate from any remaining manufacturer coverage.

Pricing and availability

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any sales tax, duties or import charges, which are calculated where applicable.

Our stock is largely one-of-a-kind: a piece sold is gone. Listings are removed as soon as a sale completes, but if two enquiries arrive at once, the first completed purchase takes it.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If a piece is listed at an obviously incorrect price we will contact you before charging, and you may cancel without obligation. [REVIEW]

Payment

Payment is taken by card or PayPal through our payment providers. Card details are handled entirely by those providers — they are never transmitted to or stored on our systems.

Title in the piece passes to you on receipt of payment in full. Risk passes on delivery.

Selling or trading in your watch

We buy and take watches in part exchange. Any quotation given before we have handled a piece is an estimate based on your description and photographs, and is not binding on either of us.

A firm offer follows physical inspection. If the piece differs materially from its description, the offer will change — or we may decline, and return it to you at our cost.

• You must have clear legal title to anything you sell or trade to us, free of any finance or lien.
• We require government-issued identification for purchases from the public, as the law requires. [REVIEW]

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, our liability in connection with any sale is limited to the amount you paid for the piece. [REVIEW]

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and disputes fall to the courts of that state. [REVIEW]
